Hindustan Zinc profit rises 32% to Rs 2,678 cr
New Delhi: Vedanta group firm Hindustan Zinc Ltd on Tuesday reported a 32 per cent rise in consolidated net profit at Rs2,678 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2024. The company had posted consolidated net profit of Rs2,028 crore in the year-ago period, Hindustan Zinc said in a regulatory filing. The consolidated income of the company in the October-December period rose to Rs8,832 crore, over Rs7,606 crore in the year-ago period. Hindustan Zinc Ltd, a Vedanta Group company, is the world’s second-largest integrated zinc producer and the third-largest silver producer.
Cipla net profit rises 49% to Rs 1,571 cr
New Delhi: Drug major Cipla on Tuesday said its consolidated net profit increased by 48.73 per cent to Rs1,570.51 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2024. The company had reported a net profit of Rs1,055.9 crore in the October-December period of last fiscal. Revenue from operations rose to Rs7,072.97 crore as against Rs6,603.81 crore in the year-ago period. Shares of the company were trading 4.28 per cent up at Rs1,455.70 apiece on BSE.
Hyundai net profit dips 19% to Rs 1,161 cr
New Delhi: Hyundai Motor India Ltd on Tuesday said its consolidated profit after tax declined 19 per cent to Rs1,161 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2024. The auto major had reported a profit after tax (PAT) of Rs1,425 crore in the October-December period of last fiscal. Total revenue from operations declined to Rs16,648 crore in the third quarter as against Rs16,875 crore in the year-ago period. Shares of the automaker were trading 0.24 per cent down at Rs1,639.55 apiece on BSE.
TVS Motor’s net profit declines 6.6%, revenue
Mumbai: TVS Motor Company on Tuesday reported a 1.48 per cent decline in its revenue from operations for the third quarter (Q3) of FY25 at Rs11,134.63 crore from Rs11,301.68 crore in the previous quarter (Q2 FY25). The automaker also posted a decline of nearly 6.66 per cent in net profit for Q3 which stood at Rs618.48 crore, compared to Rs662.62 crore in Q2 FY25. However, the company posted a 4.2 per cent year-on-year increase in net profit, which stood at Rs618 crore, supported by higher sales volumes and improved operational efficiency.
Arvind Ltd Q3 profit up 13% to Rs 106 cr
New Delhi: Leading textile manufacturer Arvind Ltd on Tuesday reported 12.63 per cent in-crease in consolidated net profit at Rs106.24 crore for the third quarter ended December 2024, driven by volume growth across its various business segments. The company had posted a net profit of Rs94.32 crore in the October-December period a year ago, according to a regulatory filing from Arvind Ltd. Revenue from operations was higher at Rs2,089.21 crore during the December quarter as compared to Rs1,888.24 crore in the corre-sponding period of the previous fiscal.
